Ordered delivery. Garlic Shrimp was horrible. Shrimp were overcooked to the point of being rubbery. Garlic was not cooked enough carmelize. Flavor was bland. Vietnamese rolls are prepacked frozen rolls....not the traditional hand rolled Vietnamese rolls you might find at an old school restaurant. Waste of money.
I stopped going here because they have one waiter who is ALWAYS rude to me in particular...not to my husband...just me. (I'm still puzzled because I'm nice to people) We tip well even with his bad attitude, and forgetting our orders etc...and we never complain about the food because it's GREAT food! But I can't enjoy my food when I have someone looking at me like I'm something his dog puked on his favorite shies or something. Overall the food is great. Y'all should still try it!!
Not good as it used to. The lady who work there has zero customer service skills. Food is okay.
a little hard to see from the main road but if you use the GPS it'll bring you right there. In the Woodlands area about 1 hour north of Houston Texas. Good Chinese style food and Vietnamese style food. I like the way they cut up everything small. The service can be a little slow as other reviews have said but it's worth the wait. The food comes out hot and it tastes very good. it was my first time here and I will come back again. I highly recommend this to anyone. If you like my reviews please leave a thumbs-up. Thank you.
Hard to find, a little small. Constantly busy. Great food.
The food was great! The Vietnamese egg rolls will bring us back. The food was fresh and delicious. The Vietnamese coffee was great. The service was friendly and the guy behind the counter was funny. Definitely returning. A hidden gem in the woodlands.
Food is great, good service and good price!!
Food is usually good, but I have had some bad experiences too. For example I ordered the combination Pho before and it was missing two ingredients, had issues getting it corrected. By the time it was corrected the soup was cold. Service is hit or miss. They have made recent renovations and the dining experience is slightly better.
Came here today, 6 years after the last time I'd been. Even better than I remember! Delicious, well presented food at a very good price. Service was great as well.
Authentic Vietnamese! I was pleased to find very GOOD special fried rice and PHO in the Woodlands! Place may not be in a very upscale place but food was good! Well worth it!!!
Houston is home to one of the largest communities of overseas vietnamese people, you can see that because of the abundance of the cuisine in our beautiful city. This place is just one of many where you can enjoy a delight Pho, and explore the flavors of Vietnam.
I love their lunch menu, it's the perfect amount of food for a good price, the curry was delicious. Staff is friendly, sweet atmosphere.
The Pho Seafood was awesome and the staff were great too!
Ordered over $50 in food via GrubHub. The chicken was under cooked and rubbery. We i specifically asked for no bean sprouts in our rice noodle dish, but when we opened it it was packed full of so many, that we couldn't even pick them out. It was all you could taste and was disgusting. My kids also were not happy that the fortune cookies were so stale. We reported the issues and a refund was offered but we have yet to see a dime. First and LAST time eating there.
Good quality pho and our other menu items were good too. Can't go wrong here!
The best flavor PHO SOUPFresh ,good amount, clean friendly,LUPE is a great server, fast, quiet, relaxing not sure what else to say, love to come here once a week!
Service was good. Food was excellent. Place looked clean maybe it needs a little upgrade and deep clean. Prices were affordable.
Wonderful Vietnamese meal! Authentic and great portions for the price! Would highly recommend to everyone!
Good fresh tasting food in large quantities at reasonable prices. It's been around for decades and the furnishings show that.
I don't know if it's what I ordered or what but this is embarrassingly bad for Vietnamese food. I couldn't even eat/finish the chicken 🥖 (is it even chicken meat? Smells bad). The pho was the same.Very disappointing place.
Good food and service
Excelent ... food always yuuuummy I love this place!!
Was my neighborhood vietnamese restaurant but now that I've moved away i still go out of my way to go to this spot! Hands down the best!
If you like pho than this is the place for you the best in the woodlands. Your gonna love it!
I am afraid that I visited for lunch, and while they were busy I was unimpressed by the quality of the food. The rice dishes were served up with cold stale rice, the garlic tofu flavor was too strong, the bun was plain but at least the noodles were fresh. The vegetable dumpling were very oily and undercooked (possibly cooked from frozen in oil at the wrong temperature?) Will we return no, there is a lot of competition. The iced tea was good.
Lucky Cafe is a gem. It's been around for so long and with no glitz has just provided consistently delicious food at reasonable prices! Their pho recipe produces my favorite bowl in the entire Houston area.
A bit below average. Much better choices for lunch. I has sweet-n-sour chicken and the breading/fry was poor. Will not be returning.
recommended by a friend and she was right. this is a hidden gem. fresh food and seasoned deliciously. we'll be back often.
We got Bun'. The portions were way better than I have gotten in a long time anywhere. The Ngouc Mam tasted strange though. It made the meal almost tasteless. The service was good but seemed awkward. It was like they were never sure if they should come to the table or not. In all, it was good and I would go back. I will try Pho' next time and see if it is better.
It was clean and super fast! Pho broth had a sweeter taste than I am used to but was good
Best fried rice ive ever eaten. All I ever get when I go to oriental restaurants is egg fried rice. This place had the absolute best. I watched the lady in the back make it from scratch and seasosn it by hand. For the price I paid I cant justify going amywhere else.
The pho is delicious! Definitely going back and taste other items on the menu.
The food was ok. It was my second time there. The waitresses were really nice, but the food does not taste good.
Have eaten there since 2009 and it it the best Pho around. Can't be beat!
Nice little place. It was empty when my roommate and I were there after looking at a couple of rentals in the area. Food was delicious and customer service was great. Would recommend stopping here if you're in the area looking for a worry place you dine.
The Phở is one of THE best in town. Wait staff were polite and very attentive.
Took a little longer for the food to come out but it was definitely worth the wait because the food was superb.
Food was ok. Chicken in the pho noodle soup was dry and the waitress never came by to refill the tea before giving me the check. Felt kinda rushed even though there were only a handful of people in the restaurant. I won't go back there. Too many other places that serve better food and better service.
This place is hit or miss. The menu is great on paper but inconsistent in execution. Sometimes the food is fantastic, sometimes it’s barely edible (the soup I just had tasted like dishwater). But even when the food is great, the service is consistently bad. A couple of the staff are fairly friendly/welcoming, others should probably rethink customer service as a job, all need to be better trained. I love to support local businesses and will probably still go there occasionally for the convenience factor, but it’s a shame I can’t give it a whole-hearted recommendation.
Lucky used to be great but it has been going downhill for a while. We are breaking up with them after our last visit. my family's favorite dish is #64. If we order more than one, they make them together and someone gets a smaller portion or all the chicken but no shrimp. so we no longer order more than one at a time. the pho broth was off last visit. too salty, and no depth of flavor. my fil likes the veggie soup with beef broth. it usually comes out wrong. this time it came out in 5 mins, which was way before our other dishes and was wrong. He sent it back and it took another 10 to 15 mins to get it. not sure what happened but getting a decent dinner shouldn't be so hard. To add insult to injury prices have gone up substantially. I used to get a salmon dish that was $9, now its $13! our #64 used to be 8 now is 11.
Great tasting food... huge portion sizes and tastes really fresh. Great find and worth driving out for...
Super fast service and super tasty food!
This is a great asain restaurant. Expect fresh delicious food at a great price. I eat here regularly, and I have yet to be disappointed. They serve generous portions, and have always been very friendly. A family safe environment in a good neighborhood.
My family has been going to Lucky Cafe for years and we love it!! The food is great and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff is delightful! Today my husband and I got the Gen. Tso's chicken with fried rice and spring rolls. Wonderful!!
Amazing Pho and spring rolls.
I love this place bc there are soooooo many options on the menu, even veggie options. And, I've yet to have a dish that wasn't delicious.
A great hole in the wall Woodlands' hidden gem! Delicious food, especially the won ton and egg noodle soup!!
The portion of food is big but the taste of food is just ok, not authentic Vietnamese taste. The grilled lemongrass chicken was not good. Not impressed with the service.
Good Vietnamese food and friendly staff
Great menu and quality Vet dishes!
